Synopsis

PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur, born and raised in Bontang City, has continuously implemented its social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) program. As time progresses, we realize that the TJSL program is not only related to humans but also to the living environment. Therefore, we constantly improve from time to time to provide a wider impact.

UREA (Undergoing Rapid Environmental Action) is a follow-up to the community empowerment program in coastal areas, which includes coral reef and mangrove conservation programs, as well as the utilization of crab shell waste into Plant Growth Regulators (ZPT). This program is based on concerns about the degradation of Bontang's marine conditions, which directly affects the livelihoods of coastal communities. Through 'Comdev on Lens', the Pupuk Kaltim Employee Photo Club pours the series of UREA's struggle into a series of storytelling images. As Andy Warhol said 'The best thing about a picture is that it never changes, even when the people in it do."
